Varsity Boy's Lacrosse UT Tournament Champions
December, 2007
The varsity boy's lacrosse team won five games this weekend and was crowned the
champions of the UT Tournament in Austin. Wins were recorded over Cedar Park, Anderson, Westwood,
Austin High and McNeil. Twenty two varsity teams, sixteen JV teams and 10 middle school teams from
around Texas and Louisiana gathered at UT for this annual event. The varsity team had to come back
from early deficits in both the semi-final game against Austin (6-5 in OT) and the final game against
McNeil (7-5) to seal the championship. Congratulations to all! Thanks to all the parents and volunteers
for a great weekend.
The boy's JV team advanced to the semi-final round, but lost to a strong Plano squad. However, the
team rebounded for a win in their final consolation game and finished the weekend with three wins.
In a recent pre-season poll, The Woodlands varsity team was ranked # 1 in Houston and # 4 in Texas! For
